Job Overview

We are seeking a confident and technically strong graduate surveyor to join our Operational Estate team at the City of Edinburgh Council. As a graduate surveyor, you will be responsible for working on a wide variety of cases relating to the Council's Operational Property Portfolio, including leases, licences, wayleaves, and servitudes, asset valuations, acquisitions, and disposals, as well as project work and general property and lease management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on leases, licences, wayleaves, and servitudes, asset valuations, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Project work and general property and lease management
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Student membership of a relevant professional body such as MRICS
  • Commitment to obtaining a relevant professional qualification (such as MRICS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
