Job Overview

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing foundations to ensure they meet project requirements.
  • Site Planning: Develop and implement construction site layouts and CDM implementation strategies to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Design Review: Undertake check functions for design calculations performed by other engineering colleagues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Tender Support: Assist in the management of the tender process, including understanding and interpreting scope of works, providing advice and opinion to stakeholders.
  • Contractor Design Approval: Act as Contractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE) or equivalent role as required, ensuring that designs meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Design Support: Provide technical support for the provision of designs, volumes, and quantities as required for tender submissions, ensuring that project objectives are met.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams to determine and maintain common objectives, ensuring that work undertaken is appropriate and in accordance with project priorities.
  • Installation Planning: Liaise with personnel to achieve optimum installation procedures, conducting site visits as necessary to plan and inspect foundation and other civil works.
  • Safety by Design: Embed Safety by Design principles in all activities, ensuring that Health & Safety Regulations and procedures are followed in the design of civil substation works.
  • Contract Document Analysis: Analyze contract documents to ensure correct interpretation of customers'/consultants' intentions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Correspond with stakeholders, including Business Units, customers, consultants, and vendors, to ensure satisfactory progress and quality.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new designers and/or trainees to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
