Portfolio Execution Group Overview
The Portfolio Execution Group is a dynamic team responsible for implementing investment decisions across public markets. The group comprises three sub-teams: Global Trading Unit (GTU), Balance Sheet Management Group (BMG), and Applied Research Unit (ARU).
Global Trading Unit (GTU)
The GTU is responsible for executing GIC's investment decisions across public markets. The team's primary objectives are to provide best execution to portfolio managers and deliver differentiated market intelligence that enhances the investment process.
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Trader to join the GTU team in London. The ideal candidate will have a background in macro trading and a strong affinity for taking intra-day and inter-day market timing risks to deliver strong execution outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Harvest and deliver differentiated market intelligence on specific markets and macro themes to GIC's portfolio managers and senior management.
- Work closely with colleagues from the Applied Research Unit (ARU) and Technology Group (TG) to gain insights from GTU's trading data and continuously improve execution and trading technology.
- Take intra-day and inter-day market timing risks to deliver strong execution outcomes and be accountable for one's decisions.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement execution strategies, market color, and views to achieve optimized solutions.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of trading experience with a preference for macro products.
- Ability to program in Python and passion for gaining insights from data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
