We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Porter to join our Campus Services & Estates team at London Business School. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities, providing exceptional support to our staff and students, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Main Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to staff and students, responding to queries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the preparation of lecture theatres, seminar rooms, and other facilities for teaching, events, and meetings.
- Coordinate the movement of furniture, equipment, and supplies around the campus, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
- Process and distribute mail and parcels, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Assist in the upkeep of external areas, including cloisters, car parks, approach roads, and inner quadrangle.
- Operate the Porters' desk, responding to queries and requests from staff and students.
- Communicate effectively with relevant departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Experience working in a customer service environment, preferably in a higher education or corporate setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to work well under pressure, using initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
- Highly customer-focused and reliable, with a commitment to delivering a quality service.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations, including manual handling regulations.
