About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Railway Maintenance Technician at Great Western Railway (GWR).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and servicing of rail vehicles, ensuring they are safe and ready for operation.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
  • Perform battery maintenance and underframe train cleaning.
  • Ensure rail vehicles are properly marshalled and prepared for customer use.
  • Participate in shift work, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
  • Strong compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pass a safety-critical medical examination.
  • Pass a psychometric exam.
  • Provide evidence of an engineering background.
  • Must have experience working in an engineering environment.
