Head of Occupational Health and Safety Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Occupational Health and Safety to lead our health and safety team at Wessex Water.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety strategy to ensure the well-being of our employees and the public.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the health and safety team to ensure effective management of health and safety risks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership teams to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety within the organization.
- Provide training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their health and safety knowledge and skills.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
- Health and Safety Practitioner qualification to diploma level or above.
- Comprehensive experience of health and safety management.
- Experience in developing health and safety systems to meet ISO45001.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a health and safety role and bringing about culture change within an organization.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility/versatility combined with initiative, drive and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven track-record of managing and delivering exceptionally high standards of compliance.
- Line management experience including providing positive support, advice and encouragement towards staff development.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health, safety and risk management.
