Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications with a focus on multi-threaded and server-side development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our trading activities, including fixed income, equities, futures, and bonds.
  • Work closely with our portfolio managers to increase messaging capabilities, execute trades faster, and improve latency of systems.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market structure for options and futures trading.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software solutions remain competitive.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Java programming, with a focus on multi-threaded/server application development.
  • A strong comprehension of market structure for options and futures trading.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol, particularly FIX 4.2 to FIX 5.0 with repeating groups.
  • Familiarity with binary trading protocols is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with Linux development.
  • A working knowledge of options and futures reference data.
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and multicast.
