Position: SAP Security Manager / Technical Lead
Overview:
The SAP Security Manager / Technical Lead is tasked with aligning the client's strategic objectives within the SAP Security and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a comprehensive roadmap, delineating tasks and subtasks to fulfill these objectives, and developing a set of performance metrics in collaboration with the client to evaluate the effectiveness of the SAP Security team, which operates as a third-party Systems Integrator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that policies, procedures, and standards are maintained and executed as per documentation.
- Collaborate with the client to identify skills gaps based on established metrics and advocate for the necessary expertise within the team.
- Evaluate upcoming projects and assist in the initial phases of blueprinting and high-level design while tracking progress against the roadmap.
Location: Remote work with occasional travel requirements.
Communication Skills:
- Effectively present information in various formats, including face-to-face, web conferences, and written communications.
- Translate technical jargon into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate and lead meetings with the SAP Security Team, broader SAP Team, Financial Governance, Audit, and senior management.
- Report on the SAP Security Team's performance against agreed metrics to the SAP Technical Lead.
- Collaborate with the SAP Security Team to revise policies and processes in accordance with business needs.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient understanding of SAP Security and GRC technologies.
- Familiarity with HANA S/4, HANA Cloud applications, Fiori UI5, JSON, and SOA.
- Experience with OData Services and the OData protocol for SAP backend data integration in Fiori applications.
- Ability to build and maintain Fiori Tiles, Groups, and Catalogs.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori Authorization concepts, roles, and profiles.
- Skilled in diagnosing technical issues efficiently.
- Manage IT risk, governance, and segregation of duties projects, including ongoing maintenance.
- Conduct licensing audits using the License Administrators Workbench.
- Experience with SAP GRC Access Controls v10.0 and 12.0 implementation or upgrades.
- Expertise in SAP GRC modules ARM, PC, and EAM is essential.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Review implementations and changes for quality assurance.
Industry Knowledge:
- Collaborate closely with functional experts to implement best practices.
- Engage with Risk and Governance teams to ensure timely consideration of business requirements.
- Understanding of SOX, JSOX, and ITIL frameworks.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Authorize security changes.
- Conduct detailed and high-level design reviews.
- Analyze Segregation of Duties (SoD) reports and take necessary actions.
- Delegate tasks to offshore teams or Systems Integrators.
- Manage escalations effectively.
- Update and maintain the project roadmap.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders.
- Provide management with progress reports.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to define audit scope and schedules.
- Resolve audit-related issues.
- Work with Financial Governance and IT Assurance to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to plan and schedule work.
- Develop reporting capabilities for management insights.
- Manage relationships with partners.
- Review and approve documentation and processes.
Qualifications:
The candidate should possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in team management or as a senior team lead, with strong references from a comparable organization. A deep understanding of SAP and standard ABAP Security concepts, as well as familiarity with BW, Analysis, Structural, and Portal technologies, is essential.
Project management skills, such as Prince 2 or Agile methodologies, are preferred. Relevant qualifications like ISACA CISA, CISM, PAS 555, or ISO/IEC 27001, along with knowledge of GDPR implications, are advantageous.
Experience or awareness of DevSecOps practices is also preferable.
