Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health care to patients within a primary care setting. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with mental health concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and NICE guidelines.
  • Provide evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other psychological interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Stay informed about current best practices and developments in mental health care.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in providing mental health care within a primary care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
