Data Governance Manager

Biffa Waste Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and governance of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Governance Framework: Refine and develop the data governance framework to ensure it is aligned with the latest business and analytics strategy.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Design and implement metrics to measure progress of the function, ensuring data objects are mastered and maintained in LeanIX, and data standards are documented and implemented across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with the Head of D&A and BI Teams to ensure information management practices are well designed and effective, and collaborate with data stewards, business, and technical experts to design future processes and application requirements.
  • Implement Master Data Management: Design, implement, and maintain a Master Data Management approach, working with local business teams, transformation, and central technical teams to implement as appropriate.
  • Ensure Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure data is governed, documented, retained, and maintained across the agreed lifecycle, with change impacts documented, approved, and understood.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience running a data governance program or team
  • Knowledge of data standards and quality frameworks
  • Experience with data lifecycle frameworks aligned to regulation
  • Experience of Microsoft Purview
