As an SEN Teaching Assistant with Empowering Learning, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse needs in a dynamic and inclusive primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
- Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learning strategies tailored to the needs of each child.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and record the progress of students, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.
- Support children during lessons, playtimes, and transitions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable.
- A passion for working with children with additional needs and a commitment to helping them achieve their potential.
- Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential).
