Job Overview:
We are looking for a committed and trustworthy Logistics Operative to become part of our team in Exeter/Cullompton.

In alignment with our goal to achieve Net Zero, you will collaborate closely with the Warehouse Lead to facilitate the effective receipt and dispatch of goods to and from our facility.

Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading delivery vehicles, overseeing inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Receiving & Unloading: Accept and unload items from delivery vehicles, confirming that all products correspond with orders and are undamaged.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize asset tags, scan pre-tagged products, and update information in our inventory management system.
  • Storage Solutions: Move items to assigned storage areas, optimize storage solutions for maximum space efficiency, and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Order Fulfillment: Select orders using a hand-held scanner, prepare items for shipping or transportation, and coordinate transfers.
  • Product Care: Perform minor repairs, modifications, and cleaning of items as necessary.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure the inventory management system is current, including capturing photographs and dimensions of products.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures during all activities.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with furniture-related inquiries and support other tasks as required.

Person Specification:

Skills & Experience:

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Dependable, with a solid attendance history.
  • Proficient with computers and comfortable using technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Physically fit, agile, and dexterous.
  • Possesses a valid driving license and is able to operate a 3.5t vehicle.
  • Forklift Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Positive work history and ability to collaborate well within a team.
  • Openness to support extended or out-of-hours work.
