We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at LondonEnergy's North London plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient breakdown repair services, diagnosing running faults and ensuring effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scales.
  • Implement PPM on Electrical and Instrumentation equipment, minimizing machine breakdowns and reducing lead times.
  • Carry out installation work to required standards.
  • Complete routine inspection and undertake preventative maintenance work as part of preventative maintenance management, ensuring equipment is consistently in good condition.
  • Liaise with outside contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are continuously met.
  • Conduct and undergo relevant training.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • NVQ level 3 or Trade certificate.
  • Electrical experience in a heavy-duty industrial environment, e.g. power station or equivalent.
  • Highly skilled candidate with experience in large-scale installation and PPM work.
  • Experience in analysis and repair of pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in PLC controlled equipment (ideally Allen Bradley).
  • Experience in variable speed drives.
  • Ability to demonstrate a logical and systematic approach to fault-finding with relevant technical experience in repair, installation, and PPM work in heavy process industry.
