Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at a primary school in the Fareham area.

About the Role

This is a part-time teaching assistant role, working 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to become permanent. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with additional needs and be willing to support children with needs over lunchtime and provide activities and a trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with additional needs in the classroom and during lunchtime
  • Provide activities and a trusting relationship with children
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English to A-C grade
  • Experience of working with children/young people
  • Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
  • Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
  • First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
