About the Role

We are seeking an experienced regulatory lawyer to join our growing financial services and insurance team at Capital Law Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act for a broad spectrum of clients, including banks, payment service providers, e-money institutions, mortgage providers, insurers, brokers, MGAs, credit institutions, and pension providers.
  • Deliver technical advice to clients regarding UK regulations, including the Financial Services and Markets Acts, consumer credit legislation, FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook, Payment Services Regulations, and financial promotions legislation.
  • Provide technical legal advice with commercial application that is user-friendly and practical.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Work effectively under pressure to tackle tough decisions and present innovative ways to help clients.
  • Keep up to date with law and practice as part of continuing professional development (CPD).
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of working within the financial services market.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering technical advice to clients.
  • Ability to deliver technical legal advice with commercial application.
  • Contacts within the industry that will assist in growing the team.
  • Contract drafting skills relating to the commercial arrangements of financial services regulated businesses.
  • Team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others.
  • A strong client-focused approach with plenty of drive and enthusiasm to help provide an excellent client service.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to visit clients and colleagues.
