Job Title: Senior Drainage Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in drainage and highway design to join our team at Advance TRS. As a Senior Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions for infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialist knowledge in drainage and highway design, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design.
  2. Represent the company in meetings with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
  3. Ensure designs comply with S278/S38 highway schemes and S104/S106/S185 drainage approvals, adhering to sustainable drainage practices and current legislation.
  4. Assist with the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments.
  5. Deliver technical support, manage design interfaces, and conduct Design Risk Assessments.
  6. Support the tendering process by reviewing client ITTs, developing design strategies, identifying risks and opportunities, and coordinating tender deliverables.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Civil Engineering, with Chartered status or actively working towards it.
  2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in drainage and highways design.
  3. Proficient in the use of relevant software, such as CAD and MicroDrainage.
  4. Previous experience in a consultancy environment, ideally within infrastructure sectors such as rail or power.
