About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Technician to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to advance their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed drawings for steel, masonry, timber, and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant British Standards and Eurocodes, with a focus on reinforced concrete detailing.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director and Drawing Office Manager to support project delivery.
  • Delegate tasks to junior technicians and oversee the quality control of all drawings produced by the team.
  • Provide mentorship to junior technicians, helping them enhance their technical skills and understanding of the construction process.
  • Collaborate with the design team and assist in the development of Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in building structures, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete detailing.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with BIM is advantageous.
  • Experience in producing drawings for various structural materials, including steel, masonry, and timber.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach.
