The Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a vibrant expanding team working with a variety of lay and professional clients, Barristers and Mediators. You will be able to expand on your legal portfolio and demonstrate your academic prowess.

The Paralegal Specialist roles require you to have solid legal experience and an excellent eye for detail. The roles demand a confident and ambitious candidate with excellent written and verbal skills. You will need to work to deadlines and be willing to go the extra mile when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consideration of papers received on instruction obtaining documentary evidence
  • Daily clients contact and case management
  • Drafting legal and court documents
  • Preparation of hearing bundles and external instructions
  • Case and general administration
  • Document management including use of internal electronic systems to progress cases and provide update reports to clients
  • Legal Research

Ideal Candidate

  • LPC or BPTC graduates preferred
  • Previous proven work experience as Paralegal/Legal Assistant or Legal Executive
  • Experience in civil, commercial and/or financial litigation; banking or finance
  • Experience and ability to manage own case loads
  • Excellent research and administration skills
  • Able to manage a varied workload
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, grammar and verbal)
  • Exceptional organisational skills and good at multi-tasking
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proven analytical skills
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Firm understanding of GDPR
  • Smart, professional, hardworking, cheerful outlook and punctual

Required Qualifications

Please note you will need to meet the following criteria to be considered for this role:

  • Strong legal experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Minimum of 2:1 degree with post graduate LPC/BPTC preferred
  • Finance, commercial or civil litigation experience
  • Proven experience of managing own caseloads
