M4 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a skilled Machine Operator to join their team in Swindon.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Operator to operate specialist laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality products are produced at the required quality and output levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate laser cutting machines to manufacture high-quality products.
- Follow quality monitoring processes and procedures to ensure the highest standards possible.
- Monitor waste and non-compliant product, recording occurrences and requesting re-prints and replacement boxes when required.
- Scan jobs onto the ERP system in real-time to ensure up-to-date information on production processes.
- Prioritize health and safety in all areas of operation, adhering to risk assessments, safe systems of work, and training.
- Perform machine maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and fault finding, working with the technical department when required.
- Display excellent teamwork and cooperation with colleagues in other departments and areas of production.
- Maintain log sheets of filter change activity and gas changeovers.
- Ensure a clean and tidy work environment, maintaining high levels of housekeeping and suggesting improvements.
- Follow protocols when operating lasers, including start-up and shut-down procedures, and accurately ID stamping finished products.
- Maintain stocks of bags and inserts, ensuring correct specifications are used for each product.
- Participate in and ensure complete accuracy of periodic stock takes.
