Care Home Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Care Home Chef to join our team at Go To Outsourcing. As a key member of our care home kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for 30+ people, taking into account special dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to ensure seamless meal service and resident satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they meet our high standards.

Requirements:

  • 12+ months experience as a head chef in a care setting.
  • Relevant certifications or extensive experience cooking English-style food.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM shifts.
  • Comfortable with IDDSI training and working with KA's.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
