Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Purchasing Officer to join our team at Team First Recruitment. As a Senior Purchasing Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement function, working closely with international suppliers, managing logistics, and optimizing deliveries to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure product availability to meet customer demand
  • Work with international suppliers to negotiate prices and delivery terms
  • Manage logistics and optimize deliveries to minimize stockouts and overstocking
  • Monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends
  • Analyze forecasting data to inform purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • CIPS qualification is not necessary but advantageous
  • A knowledge of SAP is also advantageous
