Position: Production Testing Specialist
Location: Rochester (Kent)
Compensation: Up to £45,000 based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of testing methodologies
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of testing apparatus
- Instruction and guidance for testing personnel
- Creation of testing protocols for equipment including Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Boundary Scan, Roving Probe, X-Ray, and Functional Testing
- Provision of technical documentation and support for development and production initiatives
- Conducting Design for Test evaluations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proficiency in both analog and digital circuitry
- Adeptness in interpreting circuit schematics and diagnosing faults at the component level
- Understanding of contemporary Manufacturing Engineering practices and technologies acquired through experience in a production setting
- Proven track record in applying Lean manufacturing principles for process enhancement, cost reduction, or waste minimization
Desirable:
- Formal electronics qualification or apprenticeship
- Familiarity with AOI, Roving Probe, Boundary Scan, and Functional Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Lean Six Sigma certification, either Green or Black Belt
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies and Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, PDCA, FMEA, and Fishbone diagrams

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be instrumental in supporting the production of both current and future products throughout their entire lifecycle.
