About the Role:

The Sustainability Risk Analyst will be a key member of the Organisational Risk team, supporting the Head of Sustainability Risk in the delivery of BAU activities. This includes the management of risk processes, production of risk reports and MI, delivery of research, insight and analysis, and providing responses to information requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of key risk indicators and effective monitoring processes
  • Develop and manage accurate and informative MI and risk reporting
  • Review risk reporting across M&G relating to ESG matters
  • Deliver research, insight and analysis relating to sustainability risk matters
  • Creation, documentation and management of BAU processes
  • Respond to internal and external information requests

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of financial services industry, including the regulatory environment
  • Working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, including the development of key risk indicators, reporting and MI
  • Knowledge of life & pensions and savings & investment products, markets, competitors and customers
  • A passion for sustainability is essential, and an understanding of sustainability matters in the context of financial services would be desirable
  • Desirable - Knowledge of sustainability risk policy monitoring and management
  • Strong team player, with proven ability to effectively collaborate within team and wider business
  • Growth mindset, continuously developing self and challenging business to improve
  • Good communicator, written and oral – with proven ability to summarise large volumes of detailed information and produce structured documents in Word, PPT and Excel
  • Self-starter, with strong time management skills, ability to deliver under pressure, prioritise to produce results and communicate challenges
  • Experience of working within a risk management environment
  • Experience of working in a financial services business
  • Experience of using and managing tracking and risk management tools, e.g. MetricStream
  • Desirable – experience of working in a sustainability risk management environment
