Manual Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at a well-established precision company in Nottingham. The successful candidate will have significant experience working on manual milling, turning, and grinding machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating a variety of traditional manual machines in a production environment
  • Confidently reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Ability to set and operate machinery
  • CNC experience is a bonus
  • Experience with bench and hand fitting operations
  • Competent in completing one-off bespoke products
  • Previous experience working in a toolroom and production environment
  • Able to work using own initiative
  • Self-inspection experience

Package Offered:

  • Permanent position
  • Day shift
  • Up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Day shift: 6.30am – 3.00pm Monday to Thursday and 6.30am till 11.30am Friday
  • Overtime available paid at a premium
