Role: Head of Credit Risk

Location: Remote (3 days in the office + 20 WFH days a year)

Salary: Up to £70k

About the Company: Skillful is a responsible, fair, and social lender that aims to make credit accessible to everyone. We are an alternative to the high-cost lending market and strive to reduce financial exclusion across the UK.

About the Role: We are seeking a Head of Credit Risk to develop and implement credit risk strategies that optimize portfolio performance. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to monitor performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit risk policies and strategies to manage credit risk performance and compliance while enabling portfolio growth.
  • Drive the optimization of lending decisions through tests, new data sources, and process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate credit risk management into product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain scoring systems to support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor performance and provide data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage the Senior Credit Risk Analyst and determine resource requirements to support the longer-term needs of the business as we grow.
