Business Analyst

At Akorn Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Analyst - Account Services to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough sales analysis to identify opportunities for price optimization and implement changes to maximize profitability.
- Monitor competitor prices and ensure our pricing strategy remains competitive and aligned with market trends.
- Respond to price match and general pricing queries, involving contract review and calculation application.
- Analyze customer patterns to inform commercial decision-making and support business growth.
- Assist in the identification of system errors, support user testing, and implement projects as requested.
- Load cost components into the system, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support the testing of external data feeds into the company system.
- Experience in pricing or revenue management is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with a good understanding of the English language, both oral and written.
- Numerate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills and an outgoing, approachable personality.
- Hardworking and able to learn quickly new procedures and business disciplines.
- Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize effectively to achieve set objectives and targets.
- Flexible approach to teamwork as well as self-starter able to work independently.
- Strong team ethic, providing assistance when colleagues are absent.
- Willingness to work flexible hours with occasional evening/weekend/bank holiday shifts and support other areas of the business if needed.
The role is office-based with flexibility to work from home 1 day per week, after successful completion of an agreed training period.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
