About the Role

We are seeking a qualified mental health nurse to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a mental health nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on our wards at Prospect Park Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional care to patients with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients
  • Identify risks and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and carers
Requirements
  • Qualified mental health nurse with a relevant qualification
  • Previous experience working in a mental health care setting
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Ability to identify risks and act accordingly with regard to safety of oneself, patients, and others
  • Able to demonstrate use of own initiative and ability to work alone
  • Ability to demonstrate organisational skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to participate in standard setting and audit
