Regional Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Operations Manager to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of area managers to deliver outstanding results in your region.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Foster a high-performance, data-driven culture and manage a team of 8 area managers to deliver performance, share best practices, and innovate across your region.
- Regional Business Planning: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver against an agreed, joined-up regional strategy.
- Safety & Quality Compliance: Collaborate with the HSE and Compliance Team to ensure that all work is delivered safely and to a high standard, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Engage the Region: Achieve a common goal and ensure that everyone feels part of the mission.
- Ownership of Install Business Performance: Oversee the overall responsibility for directly and indirectly delivering against key performance metrics: utilisation, weekly install throughput, safety & compliance, team satisfaction, and retention.
- Optimise Resource Management: Manage the optimum utilisation of multi-skilled teams across your region, empowering area managers to flex available resources to deliver the best customer outcomes.
- Ownership of Regional Customer Experience: Take overall responsibility for customer experience within your region, delivering against agreed targets for wait times, install success, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Execution Focus: Proven ability to deliver results in a high-growth environment.
- Managing High-Performance Teams: Previous experience managing customer-facing teams and first-line managers to deliver outstanding results.
- Data-Driven Insight: Comfort diving into numbers to build analytical, data-driven insight to support decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working across various business functions to drive regional success.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to deliver great results within set commercial limits.
- Customer Obsession: Passion for going above and beyond for customers and ingraining this mindset within the culture.
