Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer

Major Talent is seeking a skilled Nuclear Mechanical Engineer to join our team on various long-term projects in the nuclear industry. As a Nuclear Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating cutting-edge designs, leading project delivery, and providing solutions to our clients.
Main Responsibilities:- Foster effective collaboration across engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Support customer management by facilitating communication and building relationships with clients.
- Apply industry standards and procedures to engineering activities, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Contribute to project safety assessments and risk management.
- Produce and review technical documentation, including calculations, analyses, and design basis documentation.
- Evaluate the implications of changes and concessions.
- Maintain engineering configuration and integrity throughout the design lifecycle.
- Make engineering decisions within your designated sphere of responsibility.
- Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized.
- Ensure the application of highest standards for health and safety within your area of responsibility.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience in tackling a wide range of tasks, spanning different levels of complexity.
- Strong communication skills and the capability to interface effectively with professionals from other disciplines.
- A degree in engineering (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline, complemented by substantial demonstrable experience.
- Strong knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
