As a Learner Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in assisting learners to become confident and independent individuals by providing personalized support and accommodations in the classroom.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing in-class support to learners by communicating with them on their level and breaking down tasks to ensure understanding.
- Notetaking and scribing as needed, as well as reading and personal care of learners.
- Supporting learners during lunch, breaks, and transitions throughout the day.
- Traveling to support learners offsite and participating in practical lessons such as animal care and carpentry.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths, as well as the ability to evidence proficiency in the use of ICT.
