About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Beckford, a beautiful 18th century Cotswold pub in the heart of the village. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence in our dishes.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock control, and cleaning schedules, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Lead by example, embodying our company values of Set the Bar High, From the Heart, Raise the Spirits, and Make us the Talk of the Town, and ensure that all team members are aligned with these principles.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain gross profit margins through menu planning, portion management, and menu pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and fire safety regulations within the kitchen.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen team members.
