Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Limited. As an HGV Technician - Electric Vehicle Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) while having the opportunity to be trained to Level 3 in EV technology and gain your IRTEC Licence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of HGV problems using specialized tools and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGVs
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest HGV and EV technologies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (or relevant experience)
  • Strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems
  • Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred)
  • Experience working on a variety of HGV makes and models (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to learn and be trained in EV technology

Benefits:

  • Basic salary £50,000 OTE £60,000
  • IRTEC License paid for by the company
  • EV training to Level 3 funded by the company
  • 25 days annual leave
  • 5% company pension contribution
  • Uncapped commission scheme
  • Working shifts: 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
