Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our team at Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Limited. As an HGV Technician - Electric Vehicle Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) while having the opportunity to be trained to Level 3 in EV technology and gain your IRTEC Licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a variety of HGV problems using specialized tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGVs
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Stay up-to-date on the latest HGV and EV technologies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (or relevant experience)
- Strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems
- Valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred)
- Experience working on a variety of HGV makes and models (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn and be trained in EV technology
Benefits:
- Basic salary £50,000 OTE £60,000
- IRTEC License paid for by the company
- EV training to Level 3 funded by the company
- 25 days annual leave
- 5% company pension contribution
- Uncapped commission scheme
- Working shifts: 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
