Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Manager specializing in firestopping to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all firestopping compliance activities within our organization, ensuring that our firestopping practices meet or exceed UK regulations, industry standards, and product manufacturers' tested details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage firestopping compliance programs and policies at Flux Fire Protection Group Limited.
- Ensure all firestopping activities comply with applicable UK building regulations and British Standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of firestopping systems and installations on sites, producing regular reports to senior management on checks undertaken of operative installations.
- Provide training and support to project teams on firestopping best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal management, clients' design teams, and product supply chain to review firestopping proposals and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to UK regulatory bodies as required.
- Manage relationships with external inspectors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Investigate and resolve any firestopping compliance issues that arise during construction or maintenance and report on any non-conformances.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to firestopping compliance.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in the passive fire protection industry, with demonstrated experience in firestopping tested details, manufacturers' specifications, and the like.
- Qualifications in construction project management or the like is preferred.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and standards related to fire protection, fire strategy plans, and the like.
- Proven track record of successfully managing firestopping compliance in a construction or industrial setting within the UK.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in firestopping or fire protection is highly desirable.
