We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Clinical Investigation Unit as Head. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the operational planning and oversight of our expanding research portfolio of multicentre clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Unit's Operations Group to review, improve, and introduce trial processes and unit practices to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate resources and timelines across trial teams and monitor study progress.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth and success of our research portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of clinical trials operations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.
- Extensive research experience in the design and conduct of clinical trials.
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high-quality results.
- Strategic and planning skills to drive business growth and success.
We are a rapidly growing UK Clinical Research Collaboration registered Clinical Trials Unit based in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Our mission is to conduct top-quality, high-impact multicentre clinical trials across a range of health areas to improve health outcomes.
We have a broad and expanding portfolio of trials, including studies evaluating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, medical devices, and complex interventions. In addition, we conduct methodological work to improve the efficiency and quality of trial design, conduct, analysis, and reporting.

The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for three years. Hours of work are full-time (36 hours per week), but applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours.
This post can either be fully office-based or open to a hybrid working model with a blended approach of home and office working in line with the University's agile working framework and NCTU's operational requirements.
