Senior Implementation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Implementation Engineer to join our team at Galldris Services Ltd. As a key member of our Midlands / HS2 team, you will be responsible for managing the engineering on a project or section of work, ensuring that works are constructed to the contract drawings, specifications, procedures, and plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage site and trainee engineers to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality systems and project engineering standards.
  • Establish and implement site systems and controls consistent with Galldris company standards and project requirements.
  • Check Permits issued by the Principal Contractor and ensure they are received in a timely manner for works to proceed.
Permanent Design:
  • Familiarise yourself with the design drawings, specifications, and setting out requirements to ensure accurate construction in accordance with requirements.
Temporary Works Design:
  • Identify temporary works requirements, produce design briefs, and understand and communicate temporary works designs to the site team and monitor installation to ensure compliance.
  • Highlight issues and raise queries from review of drawings and specifications and from site inspections, and raise with relevant parties, drawing sketches where required.
Quality Management:
  • Write and check Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), communicate to the workforce, and check the process is being followed.
  • Keep organised and accurate QA records in accordance with ITPs and project requirements.
  • Collate information in accordance with ITPs and handover requirements.
  • Lead on readiness reviews while capturing lessons learnt / improvements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as Section Engineer / Senior Engineer (or similar) for a civil engineering contractor.
  • Some experience of reinforced concrete structures - heavy civils - bridges / structures / basements / tunnels / culverts / frames / tanks / formwork / falsework systems.
  • Strong knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering / specification for highway works.
  • Use of Fieldview / Dalux (or similar) web and mobile BIM software.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCad / Autodesk / Sketchup (desirable).
Education and Certifications:
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • You hold a Full UK driving licence.
