Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Client Facing team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in defining and implementing strategic and operational data effectiveness across our client-facing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Head of Client Facing Data to improve data quality and identify opportunities for improved data governance and oversight.
  • Perform anomaly detection across large data sets, investigating the cause and recommending corrective actions.
  • Share best practices within the team and drive the concept of data stewards through the business.
  • Create and maintain data quality issue metrics to ensure clean KPI-KRIs.
  • Prepare health metrics in partnership with the data team, including dashboard, trend analysis, and data knowledge to support the build of DQ rule inventory.
  • Work with the Head of Client Facing Data to drive implementation of the data model, defining the future operating data model requirements and embedding clear, consistent operational workflows and methodology into the business.
  • Partner with the data team and Process Architecture to develop scalable strategic business processes to support our clients.
Requirements
  • Exposure to creating custom dashboards.
  • Corporate experience.
  • Ability to dive into details and synthesize information for executive communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a passion for data, data skills, and data tools.
  • Knowledge of data discovery and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business processes and technological impact on these areas.
  • Ability to structure and scope complex data and data governance problems.
