We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at a state-of-the-art 48-bedded rehabilitation centre in Leatherhead. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments for individuals with disabilities to determine their ability to drive or travel safely
- Work with Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) to assess learner drivers and provide guidance on meeting driving test standards
- Collaborate with driving assessors to review driving ability for current licence holders with neurological conditions, age-related changes, learning difficulties, and mental health issues
- Develop and implement individualized driving and mobility plans to ensure safe and independent travel
- Provide expert advice on vehicle transfers, seating solutions, and equipment loading options
