An exciting opportunity has arisen for several HGV/LGV C+E Day Drivers based in Leeds to join a leading UK intermodal rail freight company, transporting shipping containers to clients' end customers.

This company offers door-to-door capability using road services, moving containers from deep seaports to all major regions in the UK.

As a Class HGV/LGV C+E Driver, your duties will include:

  • Delivering containers to customers' premises within a 60-mile radius.
  • Adhering to all health & safety procedures.
  • Carrying out relevant vehicle checks and recording daily paperwork accurately.
  • Maintaining high standards of practice throughout your daily duties.
  • Typical daily start times are between hours.

To be a successful Class HGV/LGV C+E Driver, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Held a LGV entitlement for a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes.
  • Driving licence must not exceed 6 points or include IS10, CU, DD or DR10, for insurance purposes.
  • Previous experience in container work is essential, with a full assessment prior to commencement.
  • Be flexible.

In return, the LGV C+E Drivers' salary is very competitive, starting from:

  • Monday to Friday Days: £17.00ph Flat Rates

Break Deductions of 45 minutes taken after anything worked over 8 hours.

All Drivers' pay rates are based on PAYE, with no LTD or Umbrella companies accepted.

On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40-hour week. Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out, and SSP is paid if any sickness after a certain period of working time.
