Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Matlock. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical systems to ensure our facility runs at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, including conveyors, shredders, balers, and other recycling machinery.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including work completed, parts used, and time spent.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment upgrades.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a recycling, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent).
