Production Design Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of bespoke joinery solutions, and they are seeking a talented Production Design Engineer to join their workshop team based in Hindon, Wiltshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing technical drawings to guide the cabinet-making team in the production of bespoke joinery. This role is integral to the efficient delivery of high-quality designs that meet both the aesthetic and functional needs of each project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed technical drawings using Cabinet Vision software (training provided) based on finalised designs.
  • Utilise AutoCAD to create bespoke joinery details.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Engineer and workshop team to ensure designs are practical and can be produced efficiently.
  • Provide flexibility in the role by assisting in various areas as needed in a small but dynamic team environment.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Open to challenges and willing to learn.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in woodworking or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a cabinet-making or workshop environment.
  • Experience in a design-to-manufacture role, producing workshop-ready drawings.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, including AutoCAD, Sketchup, or Cabinet Vision.
