We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maternity Tobacco Dependency Advisor to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in providing smoking cessation support to pregnant women and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver intermediate smoking cessation support to pregnant women and their families, using a client-led approach and national and local guidelines.
- Work closely with local stop smoking services, midwives, and obstetricians to ensure seamless care and support.
- Provide education and support to pregnant women and staff about the benefits of stopping smoking in pregnancy and the risks of passive smoking.
- Engage with the Smokefree pregnancy incentive scheme and maintain accurate records for data collection and reporting.
- Collaborate with the public health team to ensure the work links to wider strategy and contributes to the trust's vision of providing outstanding care for every patient.
