About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Rolling Stock Maintainer at Colas Rail UK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing effective maintenance support for our freight vehicles, while developing a broad range of engineering skills and competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake scheduled maintenance activities in our major depot, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs on locomotives and rolling stock, using your knowledge and skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry standards, practices, and governance, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with our team leaders and production managers to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and well-being within the depot, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
