About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Assistant to join our Finance department. As a dedicated member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing daily cash receipting, taking credit/debit card payments, and processing customer refund requests in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily cash receipting and reconcile bank accounts
- Take credit/debit card payments over the phone and process customer refund requests
- Complete banking schedules with cheque details for collection by G4S and reconcile the same to the bank accounts
- Upload and reconcile all debit/credit card payments received on a daily basis
- Monitor all email correspondence and deal with any incoming email queries and telephone calls from internal and external customers
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Good level of IT skills, including Financial Systems and Microsoft Office
- Good customer service skills, with both telephone and email
- Planning and organization skills, with the ability to work with high volumes of work to meet deadlines
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Math at grade C or 4 or above
- NVQ Financial/Business qualifications with an understanding of financial receipting and reconciliation
- Knowledge of Oracle-based finance systems
- At least 2 years' experience working in a financial/cashiering role
