Job Overview

Job Title: Principal Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage EMC requirements and acceptance criteria for systems, platforms, or programmes
  • Provide expert advice to design teams on EMC requirements and design considerations
  • Collaborate with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards
  • Design and implement system mitigation to meet EMC standards
  • Mentor and coach Engineers within the team

Requirements:

  • BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent qualification
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage
  • Proven experience and ability to coach others in a team
