About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our Wellbeing Team at Havens Hospice, providing emotional support and therapy to patients and their families.

This is a part-time position, requiring flexibility in working hours, including evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and counselling support to patients and families, up to Level 3.
  • Conduct holistic assessments, including safeguarding risk assessments.
  • Manage referrals in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Facilitate groups and develop activities tailored to the needs of the service.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to Havens Hospice policies and good work practice.
Requirements
  • Recognized professional counselling or psychotherapy qualification (Level 4 diploma as a minimum).
  • Registration with a recognized professional body (BACP, NCPS).
  • Palliative care and bereavement support experience.
