About the Role

MJ Quinn Integrated Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecoms Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Knowsley. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of fibre optic network projects within the telecommunications industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating all aspects of fibre optic network projects from initiation to completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and task assignment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure project quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the workforce is fully accredited in all Openreach, council, and MJQ requirements, working in line with MJQ accredited training school.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues and assist in developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings.
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits as needed to oversee project progress, address any issues that arise, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Team Support: Assist with training and coordination of tasks to ensure team members have sufficient work in line with targets.
Requirements
  • Strong telecommunications background, preferably with field-based experience.
  • Knowledge of fibre optic network infrastructure and telecommunications industry standards is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
