The FPGA division is an integral part of the global Productivity Engineering team, dedicated to delivering and supporting FPGA platforms at Arm. These platforms facilitate the debugging and deployment of cutting-edge pre-silicon verification methodologies across various market sectors, including mobile, server, IoT, and automotive.

Position Overview:

As an FPGA Engineer, your role will involve addressing the FPGA prototyping needs of complex and highly configurable systems. You will collaborate with multiple local and cross-site teams to meet verification objectives.

We are looking for candidates with experience and knowledge in FPGA prototyping, possessing strong technical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement FPGA image creation and debugging processes for system prototyping.
  • Automate FPGA methodologies and workflows to ensure accessibility for the user community.
  • Provide assistance and support for FPGA services to users.
  • Work in collaboration with EDA vendors to establish requirements for next-generation FPGA hardware and tools.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in FPGA workflows with Xilinx, including compilation, debugging, performance optimization, and advanced feature implementation.
  • Demonstrated success in project debugging and execution independently.
  • Thorough understanding of digital design principles and Verilog programming.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with CPU-based system architecture and its verification processes.
  • General knowledge of Arm-based systems and protocols such as AHB, AXI, ACE, or CHI.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, TCL, or Shell.
  • Understanding of advanced verification techniques, including assertions and property checking.
  • Experience in debugging System and IP level projects using tools like Verdi or Visualizer.
