Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Career Readiness Consultant to join our team at Michigan School Public Relations Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing systematic college and career readiness programming, as well as providing ongoing support to our partners in the education and business communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement college and career readiness programming for K-12 students, in collaboration with school districts and post-secondary partners.
  • Act as a liaison between local school districts, college partners, and businesses to coordinate the implementation of career readiness initiatives.
  • Work with school counseling staff, teachers, and administrators to communicate and market career readiness opportunities.
  • Develop and execute curricular content that supports industry-related K-12 career readiness.
  • Develop and execute professional development programs related to college and career readiness.
  • Consult and collaborate with personnel from other departments to promote the inclusion of learning goals related to college and career readiness.
  • Collect and share data on career development activities.
  • Represent Michigan School Public Relations Association at workshops, conferences, and meetings to provide information about available programs and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with an emphasis on curriculum development, instruction, instructional leadership, career technical education, career development, or program evaluation.
  • Minimum of 3 years combined teaching, career development, and/or educational consulting experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to represent Michigan School Public Relations Association in a responsible and effective manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
