CNC Programmer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team at Syntech Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing programs for intricate and bespoke projects in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop programs for complex precision parts on 5 & 3 Axis CNC machines.
  • Collaborate with production and schedulers to ensure critical path milestones are met.
  • Maintain quality standards, including the proving of first-off parts.
  • Create work instructions and set-up sheets.
Essential Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing complex precision parts on 5 & 3 Axis CNC machines with in-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD/CAM, jig, and tool design.
  • Demonstrable experience with HyperMill CAD/CAM software for 3 + 5 Axis machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work with operatives to set up and prove first-off parts.
  • Flexibility and ability to work within agreed lead times.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and produce a high standard of work.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience programming 5-axis parts and posting to Haas CNC machines.
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or medical.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of materials, including brass, aluminium, stainless steel, and nylon.
