We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Wellingborough.

Key Responsibilities:


The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure that the organization has the necessary machinery, tools, and equipment to function effectively.

This primarily involves the upkeep of machinery and tools, as well as maintaining building services and introducing new equipment and processes aligned with the company's New Product Introduction initiatives.


Key Duties Include:
Ensuring a safe working environment
Reducing machine downtime through maintenance and servicing
Providing tools to the Operations team to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives
Proactively enhancing machine and process reliability and capability
Training staff in Preventative Maintenance practices
Creating tools and equipment to reduce costs
Maintaining service records and producing drawings to ensure data integrity

Essential Skills:

Proficient in Mechanical Engineering with experience in traditional and CNC machine tools
Hands-on experience in a comparable role
Electrical knowledge, including machine controls
Proficient in IT, including MS Office and Sage MRP
Strong problem-solving abilities
Formal qualifications such as HND in Engineering and Electrical Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
